1 bottle dry red wine (such as Cabernet Sauvignon)1/2 cup brandy1 orange, sliced1/2 cup fresh cranberries, halved1/2 cup blackberries1 package Winter Wassail Blend2 tablespoons maple syrup (or brown sugar)1 sliced orange (for garnish)INSTRUCTIONS:Stovetop:Combine all ingredients in a saucepan set over medium heat. (Do NOT use aluminum cookware).Gently bring the wine to a low simmer over medium-low heat.
DO NOT boil, as this will boil off all the alcohol.
Heat for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.To serve, strain the mulled wine through a tea strainer into serving glasses.Garnish with additional orange slices.Slow Cooker:Add all ingredients to a 4-quart slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low.
Warm for approximately 1 hour.
Using a slatted spoon, remove all spices and berries
Ladle into glasses leaving behind any spices.
